Simple Pumpkin Thankful Card

Here is a card that I completely forgot to post in the run up to Thanksgiving but decided to post it today because the Stamps and Punch that I used to make it are still available in the Holiday Favorites section of the online store and it’s just too cute of a card not to share with y’all!

It uses stamps from the set Harvest Hellos and the coordinating Apple Builder Punch – it’s simple and quick to make and you can easily knock up a batch in a very short time…

Want to make this card? You can find today’s FREE PROJECT SHEET by looking for the orange words at the end of this post!

I stamped the pumpkin using stamps from Harvest Hellos and then that big beautiful pumpkin is easy to cut out with the Apple Builder Punch – YES it coordinates perfectly to cut this shape out!

You can either adhere your pumpkin straight onto the card front or for a quick and easy WOW simply pop some adhesive Dimensionals onto the back of it and adhere – those Dimensionals elevate it from the card base!

Sarah’s tip – using Dimensionals is the quickest and easiest way to step up a card and they are cheap – you get 300 of them in a pack for just $4!

Simple Poppy Moments Birthday Card

I don’t know about you but I love to have a stash of Birthday cards on hand to send out during the year and today’s card is a perfect one for batch making and stashing!

I made it using the new Poppy Moments Dies from the Mini Catalog and just love how big and beautiful that poppy is – what a card front feature! Want to make one too?

Find today’s FREE step by step PROJECT SHEET for this card by looking for the orange words at the end of this post!

It is a really simple card to make because you die cut a bunch of pieces and glue them together – I love to make cards like this whilst watching my favorite tv show or a movie because it involves little precision and you don’t have to think about what you are doing very much! Here is a closer look at that big gorgeous flower:

It’s hard to capture in a photo but the black center of the poppy is sparkly – I did this simply by brushing over it with the Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Brush to give a pretty sparkle!

The Happy Birthday stamp is from the set Peaceful Moments – that stamp set contains a bunch of sentiments that you can use on this card for different occasions

I like to make a batch of cards like this and not stamp anything on them until I go to use them – that way you can personalize your card for the occasion you want to use it for!

Simple Holiday Gift Card Holder

If you are looking for a pretty but quick and easy drink themed gift card holder then I think I have one for you!

I love to give my kids teachers a Starbucks gift card just before Christmas and this is a cute way of packaging it – this holder is made with just half a sheet of cardstock, a small 3×3 sized envelope and whatever you want to decorate it with – and for even more simplicity, it is also sized to fit in a standard medium envelope!

Want to make some too? You can find today’s FREE PROJECT SHEET by looking for the orange words at the end of this post!

I used the Handwritten background stamp to create the script behind the cups – it is simply stamped using Crumb Cake Ink onto Crumb Cake cardstock – easy but effective!

The cups were stamped using stamps from Cup of Christmas and cut out using the coordinating Cup of Cheer Dies.

Open up the card and…voila!

The gift card slides into a little 3×3 envelope – you simply cut the flap off of the envie and it just couldn’t get any easier to make a gift card holder than that! You can find those little white envelopes in the store by clicking HERE

This is how I decorated the inside of my card…

And here is a close up of the front panel – I love that Stampin’ Up!’s Garden Green color coordinates beautifully with the Starbucks green! And that we have those pretty glittery dots in this color too!

And of course you can theme this gift card holder for any occasion simply by changing out the stamps and color theme – you can pretty much theme it for any occasion!

Simple Day of Thanks Thanksgiving Cards…

Ever feel like time is running away close to the holidays? Me too and when you have a bunch of cards to make to give to those for whom you are thankful and the deadline is fast a-coming, the panic sets in!

So today I am showing you a couple of super fast cards that you can knock up literally in minutes using stamps from the Holiday Catalog set Day of Thanks and here they are…

Want to make some too? You can find today’s FREE PROJECT SHEET by looking for the orange words at the end of this post!

Here are the images you get in the stamp set Day of Thanks…

When stamped they are gorgeous detailed crisp images and I think my favorite one is the turkey – on this card I used Early Espresso ink to stamp both the Happy Thanksgiving sentiment and my turkey…

The feathers are also beautiful and I stamped them using the colors Cajun Craze and Bermuda Bay…

I love using blues on Fall projects – it just brings a blast of freshness amongst the browns and oranges!

On the inside I stuck a piece of Vanilla cardstock and onto it stamped a little verse, also from this stamp set…

These cards are super quick to make but I think really effective – and PERFECT for knocking up a batch when you are fast approaching the Thanksgiving break and time is running away from you!

Simple Harvest Hellos Latte Treat Pouch

Looking for a quick & easy Fall themed treat idea? Then I have one for you that takes no time at all to put together!

It is a treat bag that is folded to create two pouches – into the front pouch you can pop a treat such as a Starbucks Via Instant Latte packet and the back one holds a slide out card that you can write a note on…

Want to make some too? You can find today’s FREE PROJECT SHEET by looking for the orange words at the end of this post!

Here are all of the components together – I love that I could color match the pumpkins on the Via Instant packet with the Stampin Up color Terracotta Tile!

This is the base of this treat holder – a food safe Copper Dotted Treat Bag – that you simply fold in half and using strong adhesive tape, stick together – then you decorate – easy & fast! Click HERE to find them in the store…

To decorate I simply wrapped around a piece of Crumb Cake cardstock that I textured using the Subtle Embossing Folder – I then stamped & punched out my pumpkin and tag and adhered them in place.

The pumpkin is stamped using Early Espresso Ink onto Terracotta Tile cardstock and I then used the fabulous Apple Builder Punch to cut it out – don’t you just love how the shape that punch makes can be an apple or a pumpkin?

That pumpkin is SO EASY to create using Stamps from the set Harvest Hellos and the Apple Builder Punch – Click HERE to find them!

Fall Sunset Silhouette…

A very warm welcome to Simply Stamps and Ink where the goal is to Keep It Simple and have some papercrafting fun! Clean and simple is my absolute favorite style of card making and this is where I get to have fun and share just that – and to show you that you really can create some beautiful cards with just a handful of supplies!

AND to make it easy for you to recreate the cards I feature, each will have a FREE PROJECT SHEET for you to download/print out with step by step instructions along with a list of supplies that you need – find today’s FREE PROJECT SHEET by looking for the orange words at the end of this post!

My first card here features just 3 colors put together to create a sunset along with a black background and silhouette – super easy but so very effective!

What are those colors? All from Stampin’ Up! – at the top is Cajun Craze, the middle is Terracotta Tile and the bottom is Grapefruit Grove.

I decided to put the lightest shade at the bottom so that I could stamp on it and the black lettering would clearly show up against it…

And that tree silhouette was created using a Die from Sweet Silhouettes Dies and black cardstock – I glued it onto my card using a Fine Tip Glue Pen to make it non messy!

Welcome to Simply Stamps and Ink!

A very warm welcome to my new blog – Simply Stamps and Ink – where I will be keeping card making simple, easy & fun!

My name is Sarah and I have been papercrafting for years – as much as I love to create complicated projects I also love to keep things clean & simple which is where I began all those years ago – because let’s be honest, complex cards & papercrafting projects are all over the web and whilst beautiful to look at it can be really hard to get going on making a card yourself because you feel you can’t produce anything like that and your creative mojo ends up in hiding!

I want to change that – I want to show you that you can create beautiful cards using just a handful of supplies, half an hour and a little bit of knowledge – I want to encourage you because creating is so good for the soul!

If you used to make cards but haven’t for a while, I want to empower you into getting back into this amazing hobby – if you are just starting out, I want to show you that you can create beautiful things straight away – and if you are an experienced paper crafter I hope I can give you some clean & simple card ideas 🙂

And what’s better? SHARING what you create – to be encouraged by others who know what it means to create – and so I would love you to share the cards you make on my Simply Stamps and Ink Facebook page which you can find by clicking HERE – and while you are there, be sure to like and follow that page too!

Every item I create will be simple for you to copy and to make this easy, each will have a FREE printable/downloadable Project Sheet for you to keep.

Every item will also use just few supplies – again, to keep it simple and affordable for you.

And every blog post will be short & sweet so it won’t take you ages to read and will come complete with a supply list making it easy for you to check out what products I used.

Each week – on Friday – the item I post will also come with a special offer plus some Blog Candy – watch this space to see what the first is!

So please take a look in the right sidebar and click in the boxes to follow my social media pages and blog so that you will get automatic notifications every time I post a new card – thank you for being a part of my new adventure into my first papercrafting love – clean & simple card making 🙂
